    Is there a way to get rid of the black bars on the side of an lcd screen

    while playing Halo 3 split screen? when i play halo 3 split screen, there are black bars on the side of the screen. I cannot change the screen format because its on a 720p setting. its on widescreen. is there a way to change that option?
