In Halo 3 my connection is off and on about good or bad... most games its perfect...

i am stuck on a rank in halo 3 can anyone tell me the easiest way to rank up...
...without boosting? well in halo 3 i am a colonel grade 2 and i have 811 exp and i used to be a 40 in lone wolves now i got down to an 38 i just cant seem to win in lone wolves is there an easier way to rank up in a different game mode and/or game mode thats better- oo ProSnipe oo
