Any idea how to resolve a Halo 3 campaign delay issue?

I wanted to play the campaign over xbox live with a friend to help him beat it, but when we started, i had a ridiculous delay. It wasn't like normal lag where you hit someone in the head but nothing happens. This was something like when i would push a stick to move, try to jump, or fire my weapon, it took almost a whole second to do so. My friend said he's fine. We also tried having him host, that didn't work either. It worked fine before, I beat campaign on legendary with another friend with no problems at all. I'm using a Linksys WRT54G router. Please, if you have any ideas, help me out. thanks!

Its your xboxs fault you can't fix it sorry, should of bought a ps3

your internet must be slow. When you try dont use up anything else using your internet. Its just lag nothing to worry about this happens all the time. same happened to me but the lag was sooo bad i would jump and stay in the air for 20 secs and i couldnt reload.
