At the end of Halo Wars......?

Alright so if you beat the campaign of Halo Wars then you see that the Arbiter dies at the end. How is this possible if he ends up appearing in the halo trilogy? I am no halo expert though, so can someone explain this to me? Is it a different Arbiter or elite guy?

The Arbiter is not any one Sangheili (what the Elites refer to themselves as). It refers to the line of warriors that are given the title and armor after either gaining the honor or dishonor to be granted both.
