AUGH where is xbox live? i was on a running riot in halo 3 its winter break too :(?

ok so i know that other people have probably already asked this but where is live? this is cutting into my winter break and to make things worse, i was on a running riot on halo 3 and going for an untouchable dang it
so im guessing its actually down then? has this happened before? whats wrong with it? i cant do anything else cuz its snowing really bad outside right now. my other friends got kicked off too
does anyone know when it will be back up? thanks in advance
