can i go back to a level in halo 3?

ok im about half way though campaign then realised there were exters like skulls and stuff in previous levels like in halo 1 on my pc i could go back to a level when i saved it can i do that on halo 3 and get the skulls and stuff to improve my gamescore?
where is the level select screen?

On the campaign menu, it should say Level Select or something like that and then choose the mission that you want to do.

there is a level select screen to go back to any level if thats what you mean plus you can start from check points
