Do I still need the Halo 3 disc to play Halo 3 after buying ODST?

I'm getting ODST today and I know it comes with a Halo 3 Disc inside with all the maps and everything. So I wanted to know if I still need to keep my Halo 3 disc that i bought a while ago.
