Do people who play counter strike 1.6 get more money and sponsorship than halo 3?

my friend and i was argueing and he said that halo 3 requires more skills then cs 1.6 and its better -_-

i told him that cs 1.6 came out way before halo 3 came out and halo had to make different versions cuz people stopped buying =P

now we want to know does the CPL team in CS get more sponsorships than halo or not...

I want some proof

In case you were wondering, Halo kept making games to expand on the story, not to keep players. Halo 2 wasn't losing any players when Halo 3 came along. Counter Strike is dead now. Yes, it seems like there are tons of people, but there aren't.

CS 1.6 was the first fps with PHYSICS. at the time by far more accurate then any game, hit boxes are extremely real as well as damage, sponsorships for cs1^6 run as high as 12,000$
Halo on the other hand runs off of lua with no physics and sponsors run as high as free controllers and headsets
