Does Halo 3 Have An Aim Assist Built Into the game?

Same as title... Does Halo 3 have an aim assist feature that helps players lock on to other players easy or follow them better so it is easier to kill them since it is harder to aim on a controller than a mouse?

no well some of the guns do like the battle rifle sniper(duh) and the rocket launcher
