Gears of War or Halo 3 won't load on my 360!!! help me!!?

Gears was my first 360 game and when i got to about act 5, the game just says that the disk can't be read and then it goes to the main 360 screen, it happens everytime I even just start the game!!! same thing with halo 3, everytime I load or get to the floodgate level on any difuculty, it says that message. they were both brand new games with no scratches or aything!!! please!!! I want to beat these games but there's nothing i can do!

Sounds like your laser wont move any farther than 3/4 of the disc. try a dvd and skip to almost the end if that still doesn't work call xbox your laser motor might have gone bad
