Halo 2 Multiplayer game types?

I see a lot about this Tower of Power one but I don't understand it. Is it only for online? My brother and 2 friends want to play a new game type on multiplayer. Could someone send me a few games for maps like Lockout,acension,coagulation,foundation,beaver creek,and midship? and explain to me what tower of power is.
