Halo 3 and Halo 3: ODST Multiplayer Question?

Ok... I was wondering if you could play with a friend (who has halo 3) if i had odst... becuz what i've heard, odst has 2 discs.... odst campaign and the other one halo 3 multiplayer... so if you guys could clear everything up... that would be great...

Yea you can. Just pop in the ODST Mulitplayer disc and you can play with people who don`t have ODST and with people who have ODST. It`s basically an extra copy of Halo 3.
