Halo 3 , cant get any experience points on xbox 360?

Dunno why ? I think the id is set as adult for my son . He's done the campain and played matchmaking on line winning quite a few.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

number one, forget the ps3
number two do you mean achievements? because if you do the setting has nothing to do with it.
number three, for experience points you fight people who are better than you and win i.e. you wont many or at all points if your a captain and you beat up a bunch of corporals. you'd have to fight other captains or lieutenants or even brigadiers and win to get quite the bit of EXP.

Sell the Xbox and buy a PS3
