A great way to record videos of a video game you're playing is by using FRAPS. You can then uploaded the recorded videos to YouTube and show off the maps. Some other alternatives are hooking a video camera up to your composite-out port on your PC, and then recording that video back in with Windows Movie Maker.
I believe the only way is to use a ipod/storage device, when it asks you where you want to save click change storage decive, then save there, then put in you computer. You could always use a video recorder to if you have steady hands or a tripod.
