Halo 3 final jump in walthog help needed?

Im on the last part of the game. have 2 jump over lava bridge that callapses quickly. i keep dying how do u do this? do i need 2 stay in the middle go 2 the left of the ramp or right. please help im pulling my hair out.
Come on ppl its help i need 2 do the jump not comments. no cutscene has kicked in when i hit the air.

Once you get in the air it triggers a cutscene so all you have to do is make a jump you dont have to be accurate

My memory's a little hazy, but I think if you aim for the middle of the ramp (so you get the middle of the doors on the ship) and drive in a straight line at full throttle for as long as possible before the jump, you'll make it.
