Halo 3 Forge Floating Items?

On the level standoff i found this map and there are floating object outside of the map (not like boundary lines) above a valley where if u jump down to u die (pretty much its off the cliff where u cant reach it) how do u get them to float like that? i kno how to get them to float on the ground but out there? ive seen teleporters under neath a lot of that stuff do u need those to keep it up or what???
the objects out in the middle of nowhere on standoff there is no ground underneath it was wut i was trying to say i want to kno how to get them to float out there with no ground under it like that

Hey,
I used to wonder exactly the same thing, and i'm not sure what this is what you're after but, if you build like a tower of boxes, and place something on top (like a platform) and then remove to boxes from underneath, the platform will stay put(as if floating).
Sorry it's a big vague but it's the only thing I had heard of and tested that worked.
