halo 3 forge?

i just got halo 3 and what is forge? is it when u edit any map, like set any weapon u want down, i mean ANY weapon,equpiment or grenade? if so is it hard to use and what is the catch.
can u put flame grenade down to the map? and can u put ANY weapon in halo 3 down into any map?

Forge is when you can choose a certain map, and press "X" and put amything you want( at least what they give you in certain maps) down, and make your own version of the map. In the map Foundry, you can delete every box and things there are with "Y" and put your own stuf down. Its fun, but it's also really frustrating making the maps perfect, cause its kinda hard to control. I suggest doing it on forge though, you can make crazy maps with it. Best answer Please!!!
