Halo 3 help?

Ok, so I just got Halo 3, and I've played a little bit of Halo 2, but I don't know barely anything. My sister and I want to play against each other and I know you can do it on Halo 2, but I don't know how to do it on 3. Anyways, if someone could tell me a little bit about it, or recommend a good site to go to, that'd be awesome :]

You go to match making and select a non co-op map.

Your sister has to have a account on the xbox 360 then you have to go to the multiplayer menu and then press a then pick her profile

when your at the main menu were it says campaign,matchmaking,theater,custom games. and forge.go to custom games.make sure your sister is signed in and then pick what map and game type you want.if you want to switch the game setting hit x and change what you want

go to the custom game lobby and if you don't want to play on xblive then change it to LOCAL. press A on the second controller and click YES for a temporary profile. if you want to play with a guest on xblive, then press A like last time but it will say something like, "do you want to launch the xbox guide to sign in?" click yes and press A again then choose GUEST at the bottom. this should be it. this is also how to do it in forge, theater, etc...good sites to go to: bungie.net, create an account and post on those forums! also haloboards.com is good.

go into forge or co op or even campain and just connect both controllers and join the second 1 in
