Halo 3 help?

On Xbox live i know you can play like slayer and team slayer and all that. How do you play infection? walk me through it for i am a noob

you have to invite people from xbox live into one of your custom games that you made it is not one i wish there was

Go to custom game lobby, not matchmaking and select the infection gametype.

It was a special gametype on Halloween. Wait until October and you can play it again. Otherwise, go to the Custom Games lobby, make a gametype, invite some friends and let all hell break loose.
