Halo 3 IWHBYD skull trouble?

OK, the other day, I did the level the Covenant on Legendary, and after I killed Truth and all the Flood, i jumped through the rings in the order 4 6 5 4 5 3 4 and the skull didn't appear. That was b/c i didn't start at the beginning of the mission. So I started the mission again on normal to get through it really fast. I killed Truth and the Flood again, and jumped through the rings in the same order and STILL no skull. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks.

yes you have to jump through ring # 7 at some point.

go to gamesradar.com, click on 360 cheats, click H, go to halo 3 cheats, then go down and there is a skull guide go to that and click on that skull for the order of rings
