Halo 3 Katana question?

Hey everybody
I'm having a problem. Ever since yesterday I can't use my Katana, it's not even an option on the body armors. In the morning I had it on, but then I switched. Later on in the afternoon I couldn't use it. And the same thing happened to my little brother like last week. I e-mailed bungie about this but I got an auto response email on some other crap. So I know they're no help. Anyone know what happened?

do you know if this happened to everyone? or if there was an update right before that happened that may have caused that? its a very vague question that you might have to just look around and see who all it has happened to.
