what happened? the end showed something like a planet then the game sort of ended.

It showed the marines all thinking master chief died because they had his helmet. But then it goes to another cut scene that shows mater chief in a half destroyed ship heading towards a planet.

That my friend was the last halo blowing up with the planet and Master Chef servived with the Arbiter. you also unlocked armer

You get armor from completing legendary. I can't remember what it's called!
