halo 3 legendary map pack?

When do you think it is going to be free?
I don't want to buy it because I feel like as soon as I do, a new map pack will be released and I will still not be able to play half of the game types on matchmaking.

Well when ever it's gonna be free it's not now it'll probly be a couple more months cause they'll probly make another map pack like halo2. that games got like 5-6 map packs.
