halo 3 lone wolves confusion?

i have come first in lone wolves like 2 times in a row and not gone up a rank i understand if i was a lvl 49 but im only a lvl 20 and i do very good in the game good K/D does anyone know why i am not ranking when winning games?

Your Stats Prob Suck depends on you Xp and wins over losses in Lone Wolves anddd if you go negitive but still get first that could be the problem too
