halo 3 machinima help?

Well me and a group of friends decided we are going to start making a Halo 3 machinima and we got the story line planned out, scripped made, and the sets made, all we need is the capture card and the cables wich are in the mail. however i have a question about the filming. do i film it on a game type and then go to the theater and put together the sence wich put it onto my computer and from their i crop it together then add the voices to it or do i use a controler or somthing to move the camera like they do in red vs blue or arby n the chief. thanks for the help guys.

it would be easier to use the red vs blue technique by using custum games and act it out as you talk

Yea, you need to go into theater after acting it out and then move the camera while capturing. It could be quite a task. You also need some good video editing software which could run at a steep price.
