Halo 3 maps dissapeared?

so im a little new to halo 3 and my buddy recovered his gamertag on my xbox so i would have the maps. It worked fine the next day so I decided not to worry about it. But know its telling me I cant play hardcore Team Snipers because I don't have the maps. Do I have to load them somehow or

Have you recently been on the Bungie vs World matchmaking playlist and lost to bungie?? If so they probably took your maps, dont ask me why i dont know but alot of people have been complaining because their maps are gone
