Halo 3 Marathon Man Problem!?

I'm basically adding more information to the previous question which I asked. I'm having trouble with the marathon man achievement on halo 3. I found all seven terminals (on co-op with my bro on mostly legendary difficulty except for the last level which I found on normal), I read all the way through them until the end of each terminal and once I found the final terminal....no achievement popped up!?! I'm getting quite worried that I may never get the achievement because I wont delete my profile/account to get it! I was wondering that now that it hasnt worked whether that has completely destroyed my chances or if I can still get it without deleting my account (which I hope is true) any suggestions on how to get the achievement?? please help!

To unlock the Marathon Man achievement you must find all ( 7 ) terminals. After you access a terminal wait at least 10 seconds then continue through the messages at that point the screen will begin to shake and turn red. That terminal is now fully accessed and you can move onto the next. The problem is this achievement can only be unlocked solo and not in co-op play. I too went through found every terminal with a friend but the achievement was never unlocked, I preceded to find all the terminals again on Normal difficulty by myself and the achievement finally unlocked. That's all you have to do to unlock this achievement. Just play through on normal by yourself without any co-op help. It's very simple on normal and you don't even have to kill any of the enemies just access the terminals and save and quit and move onto the next level that has the other terminals.

You need to read all the way past the part where the screen starts to go all shaky. It doesn't matter what level of difficulty you get these on, or what order you get them in. Also, make sure you are getting all six of them. You don't need to delete anything, and there are no known glitches with the game that would keep you from getting this achievement.
