halo 3 multiplayer machmaking?

when i choose what type of game i want like traning social ect.. i go on the ranked one and chose lone wolf when i try to start game it tells me one or more players doesnt have map what do i do

it wont let u play cause it uses the new legendary map pack so if u buy that map pack u will be able to play it.

Certain gametypes need the newest map packs. Only the Legendary Map Pack costs MS points, and I do believe you need that map pack to play Lone Wolves. MLG, for example, you don't need that map pack. Make sure you do download the Heroic Map Pack and the Cold Storage Map as well. Those don't cost you anything

Also, if you DO have the maps and that shows up, just give it a little time. Switch between gametypes and it'll eventually say Ready. It can be slow with that loading and crap.
