Halo 3 multiplayer online splitscreen?

can anyone tell me if u can play halo 3 online but with 2 people at the same TV playing split screen?

for example i have a TV, 2 controllers and a xbox 360. could me and my brother both play online in the same match?

Yeah, you can actually bring 3 others with you online, but you can't play in any ranked matches, and you must have xbox live gold version.

you can have up to 4 players . They can be guests. You both can play as long as your on the same Xbox.
