Halo 3 multiplayer?

hey, i have not long started halo 3, i play quite alot i have about 150 exp with highest skill 12, which is in team doubles...
but something really gets on my nerves, when i play in multiplayer, i always am agaisnt people with more exp then me, it is very rare i play agaisnt people who have less exp then me, but surely there are people out there with the same exp as me..

so is there an option or anything i can change so i can play agaisnt people with my own experience?

i would like it if there were an option such as the answerer on top of me has said because im tired of those damn Captain's, Colonel's and Brigadiers killing me every second of the game.

There might be... I am trying to rack my brain for the answer. I'm at work so I cant go look, but if you are on your multiplayer lobby there should be a search options somewhere... I think it up top, like where you change the type of game you want to play, I know there is a way to search by good connection and things like that... but not 100% on if there is a skill option.
My guess would be that you either cant find people with your exp that are available to play (I dont do team doubles, but I do team slayer and usually find my lvl peeps... 14ish)
Or the people playing team doubles have someone with high ranking playing with them... I'm really not sure. :-(

I have a lot of exp because I play alot, but not a high ranking, Just because someone has a lot of exp doesnt necessarily mean they are good players, it just could mean they have won more games than you. Even if they lost a whole bunch more than they won they still would have more exp. I hope that makes sense. Like if you won all 150 of your games and lost 0 you would have 150exp. If I played 1000 games and won 200, I would still have more exp than you, but would be a pretty crappy player in comparison....
