Halo 3 ODST 2 games in 1?

Is Halo 3 ODST (Didnt get it yet...sigh) 2 games in 1? Because my friends said that you wouldnt need the Halo 3 Disc when you get ODST.
First Disc=Campaign, Second Disc=Halo 3 (Including final three mythic maps)

halo 3 odst is the complete multi player expereince on disk2, disk1 has firefight and campain ps. EVERYTHING RULES ON ODST

Technically, its not a two disc game. But you do get Multi player Halo 3 with ODST, it's behind it (^-^), in the case. No, you do not need Halo 3 to play ODST. The only difference in the Multi player Halo 3 and normal is that, there is no campaign (THANK GOD) and you get three new maps (THIS VERSION OF GAME IS CALLED "HALO 3 MYTHIC") The maps suck, there all from Halo 3 itself, but from campaign.

ODST comes with 2 discs. The first one is the new campaign and Firefight mode. The second disc is the full Halo 3 Multiplayer, with all the maps ever released and 3 new ones. So the only reason to keep your halo 3 game is if you want that campaign. Hope this helps.
