halo 3 odst help with the ranking?

hello everyone i just preordered halo 3 odst and i have the old halo 3 .In my old halo 3 my rank was a major is it possible if i could possibly transfer my major rank to halo 3 odst because i worked so hard to get that rank and i dont want to earn it again in halo 3 odst matchmaking.

actually from what i understand the halo 3 maps you get with odst just continue your halo 3 profile. i think you get a separate disk with the maps on it and you just use that instead of the halo 3 disk.

Lol, i highly doubt it. I understand its hard to give up, but the halo2 -> halo3 thing was hard for ppl too.
