Do you have a xbox 360 wireless adaptor (£50) because if you are connecting wirelessy you must have this. But if you are connecting using the ethernet cable that plugs into your router and xbox 360 then this is not necessary.

Ok Membership is around £35 for 12 months but you can also get 3 months and 1 months as well if you dont play as much.

All this would cost you around £85 but it is well worth it.

Good luck and if you have struggle connecting go on the xbox website and look at the support. There are lots of tips on their.

Xbox Memberships run anywhere from $15 - $50 or more

If you buy 1-years worth for $50 you get 1-month FREE (a $8 value)

ALWAYS Buy these cards from a retail store, never from eBay, Amazon, etc.

When buying at the store make sure the back of the card HAS NOT been scratched off yet, I have personally purchased cards that were already used by mistake and the store wouldnt refund me nor would Xbox.

Now,

Here are a few links, about benefits of Gold vs. Silver (obviously you'll be buying Gold, unless you want a trial of XBL first)

You will also need a modem, and a bridge between the two. Which you have since your online. You need a ethernet cable to connect the Xbox360 to the router. Go to www.xbox.com it will tell you every possible setup. Give it a try setting up the Xbox Live after you read the instructions on www.xbox.com. I don't know what you mean by "How much does it all cost?" Because if you ahve the stuff, you should know. If not,

Halo3: $30-60 (Used $30 at The Exchange)
Xbox360: $300-450 (300 Pro, 450 Elite)
Live Membership: $8-50 (8 bucks for one month, 20 for three, 50 for one year, and for 70 you get a package of different things for Xbox Live not really needed: Vision Cam, 1 year of Xbox Live.)
Belkin Router: $40-120

I think that's all you need, and the membership thing cost around 50 bucks for a year, and in blockbuster, it's about 60 bucks but it's for 13 months

An Xbox LIVE Gold membership is $50 a year.

If you want to connect to your wireless router, you'll need the Xbox 360 Wireless Adapter. They go for about $100, but well worth it.

Once you have those, you should also set up port forwarding on your 360. Here's a good guide for that:

You're going to need either a wireless adapter for the Xbox (made by Microsoft, costs around US$60 used and between US$80 and US$100 new) to connect to your wireless router or an ethernet cable long enough to reach the Xbox from the router. The cable's price will vary based on length, but shouldn't be too expensive. You should be able to get one at any electronics store. Plug one end into an ethernet port in your router and the other into the ethernet port in your Xbox. It's on the back, near the top of the Xbox (where the hard drive goes), just above where the input wire plugs into the console.

You'll need a gold membership to Live, as opposed to a silver membership, to actually play online. You can buy a gold membership from your console, or you can buy a card at a store or online. You can get one month, six months or twelve months of membership, and the cost per month decreases as the length of membership increases. For a list of prices in the big regions, go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xbox_Live#Pricing_and_subscriptions .

You can also go to xboxlive.com to see all the different membership types (click "international" at the top of the page to change your region and adjust all prices accordingly) and accessories (such as wireless adapter).

Well, finally you'll need to connect your 360 to the internet. You can plug it directly into your wireless router using an ethernet cable, though your 360 would have to be in close proximity of the router for this to happen. If your 360 is in another room in your house, you'll need an Xbox 360 Wireless Networking Adapter to allow for wireless gameplay. Unfortunately, this adapter costs $100, so unless you can spend that money, I'd suggest moving your 360 into the room with the Belkin router, if it's not already there, and connecting it using an ethernet cable.
