Halo 3 online help please?

Hello im new to Halo and the other day i was playing Big Team Slayer online. Now i cant figure out how i got there! Can any one give me step by step instructions on how to get there?

Also whats your favorite game-type to play online?

well start out in the main menu.
then move your controller d-pad down- to where it is highlighting matchmaking, then press A on the controller
then go to social playlists, then big team slayer-
then go down on the d-pad to start matchmaking then press A again.
my favorite game type is probably multi-team or the 4 vs 4 in ranked playlist.
