halo 3 only lagging.?

My halo has a 5 second lag. my xbox is plugged directly into my cable modem. in cod waw and mw i have 3 or 4 bars, and lags only for about .25 of a second, but in halo 3 its always 1 red bar. i have a 100 mpbs connection, or my bill says i does. please help

Well it could be that one of your settings on halo 3 itself is messed up so you are not getting the best connection or it could be you just are unlucky and get hosts that you don't connect to well.
