Gears of War hands down. The guns in Gears are so creative. The Lancer has a CHAINSAW on it!!! Can you get better than that in Halo? Not a chance. Halo's guns shoot and reload. That's about it. Not much to the guns. Everything in Gears is much better than Halo.

i have a thing for halo 3 because it has great guns and a great scenario. Plus you play as the main character, and you sometimes play as an alien. You can play it online with others, and you ca have up to 16 players on co-op. it is so good. if you dont have it... then buy it!

the multiplayer features of halo 3 is great...
its storyline is interesting...
its weapons are cool....
the characters are fun to look at...
the gameplay is fun...
so,i prefer halo 3

halo 3 definitely

while gears of war has better single and co-op mods (in my opinion), the multiplayer for gears of war is lacking, while that of halo is great

also, gears of war has maybe 5 guns, where in halo there are around 10ish

gears has better guns and animations(shooting off head, chainsawing chest etc.), but halo ends up being more fun on line
