Halo 3 paradox?????????????

Has anyone ever wondered why in Halo 3 Master Chief can flip any vehicle including a 300 ton Elephant all by himself but he can't keep an smg down while shooting it? Is this explained in any of the books? Is there some sort of gun physics? I know its only a game and it seems dumb but i just can't wrap my mind around that!

It's simple, the gun produces more force in its kick than an elephant's mass times the gravity of the area.

its just to make the game more playable. the guns had more kick inn the 2nd game than the 3rd, but still, just for playability
