Halo 3 Question?

Just to check everyone knows Spartan 117 survived if not theres a video after the credits you should watch.
But my Question is, if the Arbiter was on the ship on the last lvl too how did he get off and go back to Earth, did he like use a ship, and didnt even think about seeing if Spartan 117 survived.

You see the ship, or 1/2 of it at least, crash into the sea, you then see the arbiter get out. You have no explanation as to how it happened, it was after the jump though (the ship splits in two, although it doesn't specifically say that they go separate ways then, it does hint it.. It will most likely come out in Halo4.

Maybe the Arbiter thought the chief was crushed by the scorpion tank or fell into space(cant remember the end much).

If you beat the last mission on Legendary, or have the IWHBYD skull on (see http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=lFYp6p6L5Qs to get it if you haven't already)
Then you get an extra scene at the end of Master Chief floating around in a ship, then it crashing down on a planet, hinting that the story isn't over and that the game isn't a trilogy.....

ne he isn't dead though, if anyone thinks he is then they plain suck at halo

When going through the slipspace tunnel, the ship was split in half. So one half got stuck, the other arrived on earth.
