halo 3 question...?

i play halo 3 all the time, but i hate the map Valhalla and everytime i leave it. my brother tells me its gonna rank me down.
i play it on social slayer.
so does it rank me down or not?

Your numbered rank is not affected by leaving games but you do lose a couple experience points each time you quit early.

You will lose experience, but I'm pretty sure you will keep your rank. I know your rank is determined by the highest skill level you've attained, not your current level (for example, if you reach 40, then lose several in a row and level down, you will still be a colonel). Check the experience requirement for your current level and see if your current experience is less than that. If you do rank down, it should be easy to get back, just keep playing social. I don't think your rank can go down though, just your current skill level.

ya every time you you leave a game your xp goes down by one point so you cant get a higher rank up but if you play in social slayer if you like rank number 20 then it will stay the same,
