Halo 3 ranked?

the 48 hour codes say that they are xbox live old account codes
yet i go to play halo 3 ranked it says that i need a god account to be able to do that
why is this??
and how do i solve this?

Hey. Your 48 hour trials is, like the name implies, only for 48 hours. And because of this, it does not allow you to play ranked, since it only lasts for, again, 48 hours. You can, however play social matches. Just to help you, your Xbox 360 comes with a one month free Xbox Live Gold membership, if the 360 came with a hard drive.

It's amazing how one can misspell gold two different ways in such a short amount of time.

I honestly can't answer your question, I was able to play Halo 2 in ranked games using 48 hour codes, but that wasn't for the 360. It might be because they're really pushing full memberships lately.
