halo 3 wireless mic shutting off and turning on?? HELP?

I have a halo 3 wireless mic. ok here is the problem. I will be playing a game online. and i will say something and sometimes they can hear me but other times they cant hear me at all? but i can hear them just fine? i called microsoft and got no help? has anyone else had this problem? any fixes?

i have had that problem from past experience.
i have found that the wireless mikes are very sensitive and dont work as well as the wired mikes.
my suggestion is gust to buy a wired mike.
