Halo or Gears of War?

Which game series do you prefer?

I personally would choose Gears of War. I just like the overall style that Gears of War has in the game. Halo's style is way too retro too me. I like how everything is dark and mysterious in Gears of War. That game can even get scary at times because is so mysterious, lol.

Also, I find master chief's personality to not be quite boring actually. He hardly says anything interesting or funny throughout the Halo games. I mean, it isn't as interesting as Marcus and Dom's personality when they are chainsawing enemies in half or fighting a beserker. That is just my opinion though.

Personally, I think both game series are good. I just think that the Gears of War series is better. Oh and in case you are wondering, I don't own an Xbox 360. I guess you could call me a sony fanboy. So if I had an Xbox 360, maybe my opinion would change. Anyway, what are your thoughts about this?
I agree ? Ç?Ú_4_??ƒ? ?. Gears of War does a good job of catching your attention. I think that is why many people like that game.
Thank you S>T<W. I don't own an Xbox 360. I own a PS3, but I have played both games. Gears of War definitely appeals to me more and it is a game I always am willing to play with my friend. He owns an Xbox 360 of course. Anyway, I can't wait until Gears of War 2 comes out, lol
Yeah, I heard that there was or at least was going to be a Bioshock version for the PS3. I have never played it though. I am just waiting for Resident Evil 5 to hit stores. I only have until March to wait, lol.
Yeah, Assassin's Creed looks pretty sweet Inge.

Gears of War. I got sucked in once I saw my cousins playing it, then I got sucked even more when I started playing it.
As for Halo, I didn't really get sucked into it, it's a good game, but I am not one of those crazy Halo fans lol.

I agree with you, I like GOW a lot better than Halo too. Didn't know you were the video game type lol.

You should also try Assassin's Creed, great game.

I used to be quite awesome at Gears of War on Xbox Live before I quit playing. lol

I also choose Gears of War. It's more realistic as far as damage and weaponry go. You can't run through the whole campaign without dying: you HAVE to take cover. On Live, your team has to work together: it's not run to the other side and find someone and shoot aimlessly.

Halo just never appealed to me. I don't like the whole "mysterious protagonist" idea: I want to know who the hero is, which is why I like GOW. Marcus Fenix has an attitude that I like, unlike the bland, dull Master Chief character.

Overall, I agree with you, Gears of War is better than Halo!!!!!

(I wish all my freinds could see your opinion. They all think Halo is the greatest gift of God)


Edit- Yeah I know...GOW2 is going to be awesome. I'll probably start playing more when that comes out.....I also heard there was going to be a Bioshock sequel, which should be sweet.
