Halo Wars Demo-Enemy Marines?

I downloaded the Halo Wars Demo right, so I went to do skirmish and I played the game as usual. But to the right of the main base are enemy marines of some sort. I sent my units over and they were actually fighting each other. I was like what the. And there flag has like a Red Fist on it. probably separatists or something.

It is a rebel camp of marines that separated from the other ones,the ones on your side.
