Halo Wars engineer strategy?

I have discovered the joy of using engineers instead of building countless units only to have them be blown up the only problem is I want to know if the engineers can move with all my forces at a unified pace they are faster than the tanks and slower than the planes is there a way to move them all at the same speed?

nope, i send them in separate groups so they all get there at about the same time.
