halo wars help plz!!!?

i am good at halo wars but this i just dont get. me and my friend love playing halo wars and we go with a strategy that in theory should work wonders. he builds hawks and i build cobras and wolverines. my weakness is hunters, but he can easily kill them, his weakness is anti-air, and i can counter all forms of that. we always loose all the time regardless of who we are playing against. i dont get it, this should work well shouldnt it?

I am sure there is some mistake you are making, because that seems like a good strategy. I love Halo Wars it's a really good game. You should elaborate on your question though, how do yall get beat? Does the opponent rush (attack when you are vunerable in the first 5 minutes of game) or out-tech you?
