Halo Wars, Level is driving me crazy!!!!?

Ok does anyone know an easy way (Besides putting difficulty on easy) to beat the level where you have to evacuate civilians and protect the ships? it's like the 2nd or 3rd level on the campaign. I keep dying like the very last 10 seconds! thanks
The level is Arcadia City
