Halo Wars Only Has A Campaign?

In Halo Wars I know that the campaign is the human side, but is their gonna be a skirmish mode where you can use the Covenant and Flood?

The poster above me obviously has no love for the RTS genre. If he/she did, they'd surely be looking forward to the release of Halo Wars. The comments regarding the fact it is lame, etc. are uncalled for as it's not intended to be a sequel to Halo 3 or any of the other games in the original series. As for me, I'm a huge RTS fan and busting seams just waiting for this one. I've kept fairly up-to-date on the latest info on Halo Wars but as of this moment, I've seen nothing regarding detailed gameplay. It has been said that there will be online co-op and vs. modes available and I would imagine the players would choose whatever side they wish in such game-play modes. However, I am unsure if there will be a skirmish mode which would allow for local play using different sides. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

id rather wait for halo ODST in the fall...

halo wars looks like it is a failed attempt at a board game!
