Halo wars skulls help?

I have been trying to get the halo wars skulls......but every time I try, the objective is impossible to achieve.

E.g. When we have too kill 100 grunts, we kill EVERY grunt possible, yet we only ever get around 90-95.

Any ideas/tips? thanks
