help with halo 3?

well my friend has xbox live and i went over to his house and starting playing halo 3. i wanted to use my headset but it wasnt working. my friend was using the xbox live profile and i was useing a guest xbox live profile. is it because i was a guest i couldnt use the head set.

Next is when we are playing halo3 how do you host a game on xbox live. like i choose the place and type of battle and host it on xbox live. we tried every thing we dont know how to. Please help.

the best way to start hostining is to send invites to people to join your party once you have done that you automaticly become a host as for the head set im not exactly sure if u can or not if its not working its probably not possible at least under one account u can buy a seperate account and start playing together on the same counsle still.

First, you can't use the headset if your a guest. You'll have to make a free silver account to use the head set. And to play with other people you have to use matchmaking. You can't use custom maps.

to host you have to know people online to host a game
