How am I pulling host in Halo 3?

ive tried this about ten times, and it works EVERY SINGLE TIME..
i have a wireless router, but my xbox 360 uses an ethernet connection.. while im connected to live, i have about three other computers connected to the same router, and browsing or downloading... then, whenever i find a game, im always host, and everyone else is yellow bar or less... Im Australian, and i pull over Americans as well!!! Does anyone know why this is miraculously occurring?

Maybe your stats on the game make you better qualified than other players. One thing I've noticed about Halo 3: It's not fair/even, and host is usually an all-powerful adolescent kid from england who can't shoot three feet in front of his face.

It's probably also to do with your connection to the game, such as a strong internet connection. The game might recognize that and say, "Hey, this guy wouldn't randomly lost connectivity, we might as well use him!"
